Return the Favour - Pink Hydrangea

This series consists of three bouquets of hydrangeas in their three main colors. It was inspired by an emotional comment my mother made before her passing in 2021, and I wanted to honor her dedication, patience, and love in life by creating these works.
While sorting through her art studio, I discovered a vast collection of vintage silk kimono swatches that had been passed down to her from my grandfather. I began exploring my ancestry and the history of these kimono swatches while also creating tapestry artworks through appliqué.
